"J'adore all of the shopping in Spain!"
It's the first thing we hear from Chloe, the fictional muse who inspired Chloe, the nightclub, at 1445 Market St. Opening Friday, the spot is the latest addition to Francois Safieddine's Lotus Concepts collection.
The sentence appears printed on a mirrored wall in the dance-club area of Chloe, part of her "journal entry" that covers the entire wall. Below it are black, faux-crocodile- upholstered banquettes facing a large dance floor. Stanchions installed permanently in the floor keep the tables safe behind velvet ropes. And the black wallpaper has the texture of fine snakeskin boots
This is Chloe's world, and we're just visiting.
Paulina Szafranski, Lotus Concepts' vice president of marketing, says the Chloe idea came after scoping out the space, formerly a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.
"As my team and I were thinking of the concept for Chloe, we started referencing favorite things we have seen over the years from different cities, different cuisines and cocktails," says Szafranski. "We came up with the idea that, what if a person existed that had all of these collective experiences, and she moved to Denver and opened a venue with her favorite food, drinks, design, music and art?"

design, music and art?"
And Chloe, the character, was born.
Chloe has lots of ideas for a great night on the town: Dinner, drinks and patio lounging, possibly followed by dancing. Chloe, the place, puts all those ideas together into one spot.
The front of the house is the "Mezze Lounge," a restaurant serving small plates of Mediterranean fare. Done in tan, black, white and red, with wood accents, the dining room has three separate areas: a streetside patio, a main bar area and a raised section with couches and low tables.
The menu is filled with nibbles from Spain, Greece, Italy and the Middle East: flatbreads and falafel, kebabs and calamari. The drink list shows off the cocktails created by Chloe mixologist Eryn Latterman: drinks such as the Aegean Sea (Grey Goose vodka, ginger liqueur, orgeat syrup, mint and lime) and the French Riviera (prosecco, yellow chartreuse, orange bitters) tell of Chloe's travels. Wine and bottled beers are available, too. Open Tuesdays through Sundays, the dining room will be the place to meet for happy hour and appetizers.

dining area, the garden is a surprisingly spacious patio with its own bar, plenty of seating and a unique high-top firepit for colder nights.
Once the weekend rolls around, Chloe gets the urge to dance. Hence, the Discotheque, open Thursdays through Saturdays.
Situated behind the dining room and separated by closeable doors, the Discotheque is the "club" portion of Chloe. Coated in a sheen of sleek black, with an LED-display ceiling, the room is futuristic. It's easy to imagine someone ultracool like Lady Gaga or Janelle MonĂ¡e lounging in the raised, white-upholstered bottle-service area. This is the room for cutting loose, but it manages to stay tasteful, au courant and elegant — just like Chloe would want it.
